I’m just doing this for me, because I recognized it and thought it was a little funny.

What’s up:

Ok, so, check this out. I was just roaming around Raptr, and I clicked on browse games, and then clicked on the Action & Adventure genre, and then sorted all the games in that genre by popularity. And I noticed it instantly, and you may too. Come back after you’ve given it a look.

For convenience, here’s a list of the platforms all the most popular games are on:

  1. Grand Theft Auto IVXbox 360
  2. Assassin’s CreedXbox 360
  3. CrackdownXbox 360
  4. Dead Rising – Xbox 360
  5. Resident Evil 5Xbox 360
  6. Saints RowXbox 360

The list goes on. The games that follow are either under Xbox 360, XBLA, or PC. There is nothing at all on Playstation 3.

Yep. If you know how Raptr works, then you may be thinking, “That doesn’t mean anything!” Well, you’re wrong. For those of you who do not know how Raptr works, listen up: It records your gameplay time. That’s it. I have 82 hours of World of Warcraft, 69 hours of Left 4 Dead 2, and a miniscule-in-comparison-to-everyone-else 58 hours of Modern Warfare 2.

So, here my problems with this: When Raptr sorts the Action & Adventure genre, how do they do it? It can’t be by play-time, because who plays Dead Rising, or especially Saints Row anymore? It couldn’t possibly be the most-reviewed games, because I’m pretty darn sure Uncharted 2: Among Thieves would be in that list somewhere. And, seriously, who would review #8 on my list?

So here are my two conclusions to the whole situation:

1! PlayStation 3 games blow.
2! Raptr users are all Microsoft fanboys!

Either solution cannot be good for the well-being of the balance of life.

So, either it can’t be good for the well-being of life, or Raptr is just gay.
