Episode 9: Tunnel of Love

We entered the tunnel of love at the end of episode 8, and now we get to have a lovely stroll through the tunnel with Rochelle, the only one worth loving. Ah… Yeah. Fun episode.

Episode 10: Zombie Coaster

This level is just straight up great. When I said fun last episode, I didn’t mean fun in the same way I am saying it now: It’s REALLY FUN! :D

Crazy Update!

Oh, man. I just did a bunch of stuff, so I’ll get started with summing it up:

New theme!

Yay! I finally left that near-gay theme that I’ve had for the past… well, since the website was created. This theme has a much wider area to type stuff, which is great for videos. I can now throw YouTube videos into a page without making them smaller. Also, more text will fit into a line – but since I hit tab it sets boundaries. I don’t know or care why.

King Kong Extended Edition Commentary

Not only was I surprised I started the commentary, I actually finished it. In one sitting. Anybody who loves or is interested at all in anything and there is commentary on it; definitely give it a go. It gives you some insight on how it is done, and makes you think at a higher level.

New Font

I’m not entirely sure the font will work on all computers, but I don’t really care. I’ve chosen to replace Lucida Sans Unicode (the default font for this theme) with Malgun Gothic. Looks nicer :) And in fact, it’s right below Lucida Sans Unicode, which is nice because now I have to go through all my pages and change their fonts…

I just got back from seeing this movie, and the words I came up with during the movie to describe it were “action” and “beast.” But I didn’t stop there! “Action tank” is perfectly suitable for this movie. There is only one time in my life where I have been very thoroughly shaken up, stepped on, punched in the face, and raped – and that was during this movie.

Uncharted 2 is more actiony only in that you are the one experiencing what happens to Drake, whereas in movies you can only watch. If I had to compare Uncharted 2 to 2012 in terms of OH MY GOD!, I would give Uncharted 2 a 10 and 2012 a 9.

Based on the multiplayer demo, this game deserves 5 stars. The multiplayer is addicting. You kill people to get money and get medals. The cooler the medal, the more that medal awards you with. Leveling up takes a while, but the game is so fun I think it won’t be a problem when the real game releases.

I hit level 10, unlocked a few new skins (you can choose who you want to play as from the game’s campaign), and quit. I played Elimination (kill other team before your team dies, no respawns), Deathmatch (first to 50 kills), RPG’s (first to 50 kills, rockets only), Arena ((I think it’s called that) get the treasure to the treasure chest with two friends while being assaulted by NPC’s), and that’s it.

The maps are very good. On this one china-looking level, I was crouching behind a wall when I heard the wall close to me (the wall that marks the edge of the map) crumble as a tank rolled in, shooting at the wall I was crouching behind. That was on the RPG match, so I shot it a few times but to no avail. Another map has a helicopter fly by routinely and shoot at the ground. If you’re in it’s way, I assume you’ll die.

That was so interesting I decided to come review this demo. I have never seen that in another game, something that statically changes the game style, if even only for a few seconds.

I… cannot wait for the full game.
